Blogger Butt - 2 weeks of WW report

Well after 2 official weeks of WW my loss isn't huge.  But I knew it wouldn't be so I'm not terribly disappointed. I lost 0.4kg.  But you know what, IT'S A LOSS!  That is all that matters.  I had sushi on Monday night for Valentine's Day and I knew it would throw off my weight loss.  But I'm now head down "blogger butt" up and have already lost MORE then that at the beginning of my third week.  Here's some of my thoughts from last week.

- I can see my stomach is getting smaller ever so slightly
- my new USA jeans are already slightly too big (which is a love/hate thing)
- I have wanted to eat pizza ALL WEEK LONG and have not
- Everyone tells me I shouldn't weigh myself until actual weigh in days - I disagree, seeing my losses or gains throughout the week motivates me to be better and work harder and stick to my points 100%
- I am about to move down into a lower weight category with WW, which is fantastic, but also means ONE LESS POINT a day - trust me, it will be difficult to manage
- Weighing yourself naked always works better.  Even underwear can weight a few hundred grams
- I have discovered WW amazing range of ice cream sundaes
- I won goggles & a Baker's Delight voucher from Seven Cherubs, which is non related but I'm excited
- I am not sleeping better yet
- I am having trouble working red meat into my meals of an evening.  I'm scared I'll become deficient in iron soon
- Water is starting to actually taste delicious - I always thought people were full of crap when they said that
- On the topic of drinking liquid, I struggle to drink juice and soft drink now, they are FAR too sweet and make me feel sick
- Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice are my life savers
- I didn't exercise at all last week besides general housework and going shopping and running errands (which is light exercise, seriously).  I don't feel guilty about it at all.  HAHA!

How was your week?

Just popped some more treasures in the shop...

My creative space... in the comfort of my bed :)

First of all, I made it under 100 today!!!!

Today I'm creating in bed.  Not entirely sure why.  I just felt like laying there today whilst I created.  Busy finishing off softies for my Softies for Smiles Appeal.  I had help from 9 girls at church the other night to get some more made, but we ran out of time and so I'm finishing them all off.

Flea Market Finds

This week I had a chance and some funds to pop into my local Vinnies.  I'm on a new budget and can't go spending up in the Op Shops as I please anymore.  I have 6 within a 5 minute radius of my house - which I am incredibly grateful for!!  In the old days I'd visit them all in one day and come home with giant stashes of goodness.  Now that my visits are less frequent and my funds are reduced, I am finding I am buying only the GOOD stuff.  I actually prefer it this way :)

Here are my finds:

Not bought for their more obvious reasons.  I have pegs & embellishments in mind.

Not sure what to do with these yet, but I just couldn't leave the behind.

ALWAYS on the hunt for more doily's!

Gorgeous doily runner.
Napkin rings - all different.  Love them!

Having a little fun with reflections :)

Relive Romance Challenge

I haven't posted my 'romantic' happenings until now, because I only did them today!!  Of course today is V-Day.  I actually stayed home from work sick, which meant I could do all sorts of things for husby as I slowly pottered around the house today.  We had planned to have sushi for dinner which husby was picking up on the way home from work.  This morning I did my first of three things for husby.  It isn't so much 'romantic', but I knew how appreciative he would be of it, and when I showed him, he was super excited.

1.  Ironed all his collared shirts - all 50 million of them.  It ONLY took 4 hours

2.  I made him a card (and of course wrote a 'romantic' message) and bought him a cute chocolate rose.

3.  And set up our back patio like a cute little cafe.  I cut out hearts in browns and creams and whites, and set the table with a vintage cream linen tableclothe and a cool pillowcase acted as my table runner!  Popped a square doily in the middle and burnt a delicious smelling candle.  Husby loved it.

So that's what I did.  I hope everyone had an enjoyable V-Day, regardless if you have an other half or not.  I think there is a huge misconception about what V-Day is all about.  It is not about having someone, it's about showing love for those in your life, whoever they are.  So I hope whoever you are, wherever you are, and whatever your situation, that you feel loved and appreciated because I'm pretty sure you're awesome!

Bling on love... better late then never.

Maxabella & Gifts of serendipity are hosting a fun linky party where you can show off your favourite bling.  Considering my bling is limited, it made it easy which to share.

Husby chose well for me.  I love my rings!  Plus I have obese fingers so I needed nice chunky rings so that my fingers didn't drown my bling.  You can link in here if you want to join in!

Blogger Butt Update

Well I offically weighed in Wednesday morning.  Even though I have been doing WW over two weeks now, I didn't weigh in straight away.  So my offical Week 1 loss was 4.1kg.  Impressive I must say, but hell it was hard to achieve.  I have years of bad eating and bad habits to undo!  Here's some of the things I experienced and also some thoughts that whirled around in my head last week.

- "Hell I want chocolate"
- "Why do I want chocolate?  I don't even like it..."
- "I'm hungry and I only ate food 10 minutes ago"
- "I wish I never had to pee cause then I wouldn't have to drink so much water"
- Grocery shopping takes twice the amount of time and about half as much again in money.
- I was suprised how easily I passed up opportunities to eat junk.
- Whilst walking past the bakery at the shops and smelling that delicious fresh warm aroma, and comtemplating in my head how I could work a fresh roll into my points for the day, another voice in my head came from nowhere and yelled "I WILL NOT LET FOOD CONTROL ME" - which is now my motto.
- I actually did a little exercise.
- I haven't been bloated AT ALL - which is amazing.  Trust me.  I used to be bloated on a daily basis due to food allergies.
- The weight loss can't be seen physically, but mentally I know it happened so that's all that matters.
- I came up with a 5 point dinner meal!!!  And there was enough for two dinners.

How did your week go?  Just remember - I WILL NOT LET FOOD CONTROL ME... and you'll do great!

Remember to vote on my poll - top right hand corner.  I'm eager to hear your opinions.

Don't forget about Softies for Smiles!  Will be posting about it soon.

My creative space...

You know, last night I made a promise to myself that I would do this blog post bright and early in the morning so I could link up and be in the first handful of people linking up to My Creative Space.  I failed.  It's 5pm and I'll be 100 and something down the list.  So if you actually read this let me know!!  Haha!!

Sunday night husby and I have been invited at the last minute to a Valentine's dinner with friends.  I volunteered to decorate the table!  I didn't realise I was volunteering to do it until I had already said it.  And then of course I realised what I had got myself into.  So today I have spent forever coming up with something!!

First I put the stones in a vase..

Then made the florist foam base for the flowers on top..

I just made a tonne of red fabric rosettes and pinned them on, and added a few pearls & leather rope for effect...

Bought the white tableclothe for the night, and whipped up that runner last night.  Now to make name cards & maybe little gift boxes for each person.

Organised Home - Project DRESSER!

My dresser has been overflowing and bugging me for MONTHS!  I have been talking about cleaning it out for as long as it's been bugging me.  For some reason I kept putting it off!!  Today I did it!

The dreaded dresser.  I might point out that I am well aware of it's ugliness.  Currently saving for a new bedroom suite :)

Overflowing drawers.

The worst drawer - sweaters!

Much better!  Gave a few up so there's alot more space.

Singlets/jumpers/scarves.  Threw out a few of each.

PJ & Swimmers drawer!  Notice the gap on the right?  My swimmers haven't made their way into the drawers for a while.

It only took me about half an hour to organise it all again.  Don't know why I didn't do it sooner.  I ended up with three piles of things.

1.  Too old to keep and not salvagable for upcycling, resulting in being tossed!
2.  Salvagable for upcycling.
3.  Giveaways - in good nick, just never really worn.

It was nice to get in and get it done!
Now, next is to tackle shoes..... and this is only one of their homes.  This one isn't going to be as fun.

PS.  Don't forget to vote on my poll - top right hand corner of my blog!!
PPS.  I am getting ready to announce my giveaway.  Yay!

My Wonderful WIP - custom order for a friend.

A friend of mine saw the blog post I did a loong time ago with my doily table runner.  She wants two of her very own!  So after much forgetfulness to do it, and after needing to buy a new stash of doily's (which is a painfully long process of finding good ones that aren't overpriced with size/style/colour variations), I have layed out my designs and just need her approval to go ahead and sew them together.

The first one is a shorter one for her dresser and is 37 inches long.

And the second one is for the dining table and is 59 inches long.

Just waiting to hear from her whether it's a go ahead and if so I'll see how I go sewing them up on Thursday.

I'm considering sewing one up for to put in the shop too.  They are just so gorgeous!

Don't forget to link in over at The Clip Cafe.

Blast it's hard.

So as some of you know I've started Weight Watchers.  So far the results are great.  I've lost just over 3 kg's this week already and the week isn't even up yet.  Some of you may fret at such a LARGE amount being lost over a small period of time, but the reality is I have 50 kilos to lose.  So the initial weight drops will probably be higher.

Well I did it, I told you just how overweight I am.  I'm not about to go and reveal my weight, but I'm sure you have a good idea.  Years of not caring, ruts & letting busyness rule.

Yeah the food thing is hard.  It hurts my head trying to configure my points each day.  Do I eat this?  No, too many points, I'll have to eat this instead.  Bla bla bla... it goes on all day.  Grocery shopping takes heaps longer cause I'm working out points and meals and all that (and did I mention husby and I started a NEW BUDGET on the same week which means not only finding better foods to eat, I have a smaller amount of money to spend!!).

But you know what.  I can handle that.  Being healthy isn't supposed to be easy.  Or else everyone would do it, right?

The thing that has me troubled is the support factor.  I come into contact with alot of people through my family, church & work.  Most people are really supportive for any sort of positive change, regardless of your method.  But there have been the few that have been quite the opposite.

"who cares about calories???" - ahh, me.
"oh just eat it, it doesn't matter" - if I want to eat later on today it does matter
"just snack on celery all day" - have you not tasted celery lately, it's kind of boring and stringy
"why would you do that??" - have you not noticed I am obese?  I kinda noticed.
"do this diet, it's better" - if it was better I would be doing, but I'm not.. get the message?
"if this doesn't work, let me know" - thanks for having faith in me.

Anyway, maybe I'm being too sensitive but it's making me grumpy!!  I just needed to vent and need positive reinforcement and I know I can rely on all you ladies out there to help me with that.

And if you've done Weight Watchers yourself I would love any of your meal/snack ideas and recipe's!!!  I am struggling sooo much in that department!

I hope to do one of my very own photo's like this one day :)

Ok, vent finished.
