Blogger Butt - the ups and downs.

I didn't post last week because I was thoroughly unimpressed with my weight gain.  Now I KNEW I would gain on my week away with hubby the other week, but to gain AGAIN the week after.  I just wasn't in the mood to disclose my gain.  But I am back again this week, and thankfully with a loss.  On week one, I weighed in at 129.9kg.  Now, at week ten, I'm at 124.4kg.  It's nothing mind blowing.  It's only 5.5kg.  But I prefer it that way.  I want this to be a slow and steady race.  I want to get it right, and make life long changes, and actually learn how to eat a balanced diet.

Like most of you (I'm sure), I have received ALOT of slack for my methods.  For some reason Weight Watcher's is foreign and strange.  Some people like to tell me I'll never lose weight if I eat chocolate a few times a week.  I'll never lose weight by eating some potato chips every so often.  I'll never lose weight if I decide I want a glass of juice.  Well I'm afraid that I am proving you all wrong!  There are only a few freaky people out there that NEVER eat junk food.  Cause let's face it, they're freaky.  The rest of us are normal, and we love an occasional chocolate, or a meat pie, or a burger, or something that just tickles your fancy.  So guess what people, Weight Watchers is actually awesome.  SO THERE!

But I will admit, I want to be able to SEE the weight loss already.  It's getting a bit boring losing weight and not seeing the difference.  I know, whine whine.  Give it time.

And I want to share my new FAVOURITE snack.

Sorry about the bad picture, I took it on my phone at work in my lunch break.
$0.80 from Coles, in the Health Food section.  Only 2 1/2 points on the old WW point system.  Some may think that's alot of points for a snack, but it is really filling, so it's the kind of snack you have when you're really hungry.  I love them.  I buy a handful every week.  LOVE THEM.  You should try them!!

Anyway, that's my update.  I have an extremely sore jaw today, from my dental visit yesterday.  I had minimal pain yesterday with my visit, but it came back to bite me today.  Having trouble eating and talking.  Just feeling awful actually.  And to be honest, my jaw started hurting the worst after eating my Sesame Bar this morning DANG IT!!!  Darn chewy bar.  Pain killers have thus far done NOTHING to help relieve pain for me.  Anyway, I'll stop cause I'm whining, again.

I'll do my best to be more consistent in checking in!  Anyone know where I can link in?  My head hurts and I can't figure it out :)

How's everyone else's week been like?

Blogger Butt - 2 week catchup

Well I haven't done an update for a while.  Last Friday (which is when I do my BB update) I was away on holidays which you can read about here and see the pretty pictures.  So I skipped out for a week.  And in true holiday style, there was NO WAGON in sight!!! And that's the way I planned it.  Husby and I enjoyed some delicious treats and ate out a couple of times.  It was wonderful.  I KNEW I would put on weight and was totally OK with that.  But when I got on the scales, I was SHOCKED...... to find out I'd only put on 500 grams.  Fantastic!!  So I haven't weighed in since then - as weigh in day is Wednesdays.

But I have other news.  As it was my birthday Tuesday of this week, husby got me a fabulous gift... a Weight Watcher's membership!  So now I am officially a WW girl and need to learn the new Pro Points system.  It is already hurting my head!! I really need to go to a meeting and get the new books and I'm sure that will all help.  I have the new free app for my phone so that will no doubt help.

As for the wagon coming back into town.  I have had such trouble getting myself back on track this week after a lovely week of not having to count.  I didn't go crazy with my eating last week, but I certainly enjoyed some yummy things.  It only took me a week to destroy my mental strength!!!  But I am trying hard again, and have done some exercise this week.  All I hope to achieve when I weigh in on Wednesday is to be back on track with where I was the week before my holiday.

Oh and have you tried Weight Watchers new frozen Beef Lasange meal?  It's sooo tasty!!  You should try it.  And husby tells me the Satay Chicken is also quite desirable.  I love it when they're on special at Coles, I buy like 10 of them!!!

Now onto my thoughts and things for the past two weeks:

- Tim Tams probably aren't the best thing to eat for breakfast
- Since starting WW I've cut back on my dairy intake, and I no longer enjoy the flavour of milk, which is good cause now I don't want to drink it!
- Homemade pizza is delicious - especially when you put avocado on.
- I'm feeling excited at the prospect of buying new smaller sized clothes in the upcoming months
- I'm glad I have sewing skills so I can alter some of my clothes as I shrink so I can keep wearing them
- Grapes give you gas (I'm serious)
- Eating at meal times helps with my energy levels
- A few moths ago I discovered my magic number of hours of sleep at night was 8 - lately it doesn't feel like enough.  I might trial 9.  (I know I know, wait till I have kids, and I'll never sleep again)
- Moving furniture has become my main exercise over the last month, strangely
- Wearing white as a fat lady isn't the worst thing in the world.  It can actually work sometimes
- I am beautiful even if I have more rolls then the bakery
- Housework sucks - oh wait sorry that one slipped in
- I can't eat as much as I could even a few months ago, and I am also better at listening to my stomach and when it is full!  (this is a HUUUUGE one for me)
- I have a new stretch mark at the top of the back of one of my arms - it makes me feel like crying.  It's the first of it's kind to appear on my arms.  RUDE!
- Watermelon is my all time most favourite "snacking while making dinner" food that ever existed.
- My lactose intolerance has eased off a little - which is AWESOME
- Water is still amazing
- I wish sweet potatoes were cheaper so I could cook with them more often.  Same goes for tomatoes.
- Crunchy salad is my favourite salad - if you want I can email you the recipe.

And I think that's it.  I think I might make pizza's again for dinner tonight.  I just chop up a tonne of vegies really finely, and for meat use shredded ham cause it's less fattening then bacon and mince and all that, and then sprinkle a tiny bit of mozarella on top.  Oh and avocado of course :)

Blogger Butt Update - I could be considered a slacker.

It's been an interesting week.  Another loss though.  That's all that matters.  Lost another 0.4kg.  I'm happy with that loss considering how shocking I've been at keeping to my points over the past week.  Let's just say I took a more lazy casual approach.  We were busy moving back into our unit and unpacking and re-arranging.  I was feeling annoyed and couldn't be bothered counting properly.  BUT I still lost weight which proves to myself that even though I didn't count everything little thing I put into my mouth, I still have learned how to eat a balanced diet.

Thoughts for the week:

- Hot chips and wedges are good, especially with sour cream (it was lite!)
- IBS has it positive effects - the food isn't inside your stomach long to make you fat (i know, TMI)
- Moving furniture is DEFINITELY a work out
- I have a great love of hot dogs, and had one this week - luckily for me it was on one of the few days I actually counted points this past week so probably why I still had a loss
- Dim sims are still amazing.
- All I ever write about is food in this section
- Water is still amazing, but I've lost my gusto desire to drink it often resulting in slight dehydration.. oops!!
- Came to the realisation that I have to get down to 80kgs before I have a baby because it's likely I'll put on at least 10kgs post baby and I never want to be over 100kgs again.
- My jeans are getting even looser
- Even though the skin on my face has it's teenage moment, it's overall alot nicer and clearer.
- I need more rest since I've cut back on the sugary junk foods that gave me lots of fake energy.
- My hair has been less oily
- I still didn't exercise (on purpose)

All in all, not my best week but I'm pleased with myself that although I had a few bad days I haven't just thrown my hands in the air and given up.  I've been doing this for over a month now and I am finally getting somewhere with re-programming my mind and body and it's desires and cravings*.

Blogger (reduced sized) Butt Update

BACK ON TRACK LADIES!!  I'm not going to dodge the bullet on my weight loss this week.  Straight to it.... 1.2kg!!!  So stoked with my efforts.  After two dismal weeks, finally a result I am 100% happy with.  Well, that's a lie.  I would have preferred to lose 50kg this week, but we all know that won't happen.  It's now been a month since I officially started WW.  So here's my progress (I can't believe I am telling you all this - I am hugely embarrassed but need to do it so I don't do this to my body again).

Weigh in: 129.9kg
Week 1: 125.8kg (4.1kg loss)
Week 2: 125.5kg (0.3kg loss)
Week 3: 125.3kg (0.2kg loss)
Week 4: 124.1kg (1.2kg loss)
Total weight loss: 5.8kg

So that's the digits.  Now you know just how heavy I am.  My goal is to get down to 80kg.  I don't care what anyone says, but I will never get down to 65kg which is my supposed healthy weight.  I have a big frame.  If I got down to 65kg, I'd be borderline anorexic, seriously.  So my goal is 80kg.  80kg is achievable.  And maintainable.

Anyway, enough of that.  My thoughts and experiences of the week:

- I didn't do so well at not eating my exercise earnt back points.  Oops.
- I exercised a buttload, but not on purpose.  Our house is being painted and had to move our lives into boxes and move everything to the centre of rooms.
- I did go on the Wii Fit one day for a bit though!
-  I made delicious vege & ham pizza last night and finally crushed this annoying craving I've had for pizza all month.
- I was slack at writing down my points again - resulting in less then desirable dinners due to lack of points to work with.
- Useless fact:  I learnt that picking your nose can result in breathing difficulties through your nostrils.
- Started putting lime juice/slices in my water to make it more exciting.
- I made chips - moutain bread, cut into triangles, spray oil, sprinkle salt, hot oven, 2 minutes, DELICIOUS and low in points!
- My husband recognised that a pair of pants were baggy on my reduced butt size.
- I realised I am borderline obsessed about steamed dim sims (they're delicious and low in points = dangerous).
- I forced myself to eat breakfast at breakfast time.  Not after I got to work around 10am.
- Tried to be better about getting up earlier, to encourage me to go to sleep earlier to get back into a healthier sleep pattern.

And that's about it for this week.

Except the jeans I'm wearing at work today are loose :)

Blogger Butts - I think I'm 3 weeks in now.

So I anticipated this past week to have been much more fantastic then the last - which you can read about here.  But guess what.  It sucked even more then last week!!!!!!  It's been a bad week, and I've been feeling really stressed and frustrated, but i won't go into that now.  I only lost 0.2kg last week.  But I need to remain positive.  So far my total weight loss is 4.6kg, over a 3 week period.  So even though the last two weeks results have been less then exciting, I am still doing well considering I've only been on the WW wagon for a short time.  It's hard to not get ahead of myself and expect such instant results.  Hopefully the weeks will go by faster and I can consistently lose weight each week when I weigh in.  MUST REMAIN POSITIVE.

So as usual, some of my thoughts and experiences from the past week:

- discovered 1 pt creme caramel, which im now obsessed with
- rediscovered my love for pineapple juice and it's refreshing flavour
- I only exercised once and loathed every of those 30 minutes
- worked out a WW friendly way to make Mexican only to discover husby and I both felt sick afterwards because of the richness of the flavour (we can't seem to handle rich foods anymore)
- drank a tonne of water again
- someone noticed my weight loss in my stomach area
- one of my pairs of Capri's fits more comfortably again
- I re-discovered what a long good nights sleep can do for my body to make it feel normal (had 12 1/2 hrs!)
- I've had more zits this week then I've had in months combined.. sigh.  Maybe the pineapple juice?
- I decided to get my hair cut a little shorter and sneakily realised this may impact my 'weight loss' for next week hahahaha
- told myself that I MUST change my attitude towards exercise and at least make the effort to do it twice a week
- I got a little slack at writing my food and points down as the day went on, and got to the end of the day to discover I only had like 5 points left for dinner.  I've been better at writing down since
- I celebrated the fact that one day when I decide to have a baby, I won't cry and whine about getting stretch marks, because I already have them all over my stomach and boobs and to me that's just normal
- WW frozen meals were on special.  I bought like 12 of them... oops.
- made a decision that when I exercised, that I wouldn't then eat the points I had just earnt back.

And that's about it for this week.  The next week will be interesting.  Husby and I were notified yesterday that our house is being painted next week.  So we are mid destroying our house... emptying all cupboards and putting things in boxes and drawers and yeah.  It's less then fun to say the least.  BUT, I can totally count moving furniture as exercise right?  I might be a crazy lady when I check in next Friday, cause we're moving in with my parents.......  Wish me luck.

Blogger Butt - 2 weeks of WW report

Well after 2 official weeks of WW my loss isn't huge.  But I knew it wouldn't be so I'm not terribly disappointed. I lost 0.4kg.  But you know what, IT'S A LOSS!  That is all that matters.  I had sushi on Monday night for Valentine's Day and I knew it would throw off my weight loss.  But I'm now head down "blogger butt" up and have already lost MORE then that at the beginning of my third week.  Here's some of my thoughts from last week.

- I can see my stomach is getting smaller ever so slightly
- my new USA jeans are already slightly too big (which is a love/hate thing)
- I have wanted to eat pizza ALL WEEK LONG and have not
- Everyone tells me I shouldn't weigh myself until actual weigh in days - I disagree, seeing my losses or gains throughout the week motivates me to be better and work harder and stick to my points 100%
- I am about to move down into a lower weight category with WW, which is fantastic, but also means ONE LESS POINT a day - trust me, it will be difficult to manage
- Weighing yourself naked always works better.  Even underwear can weight a few hundred grams
- I have discovered WW amazing range of ice cream sundaes
- I won goggles & a Baker's Delight voucher from Seven Cherubs, which is non related but I'm excited
- I am not sleeping better yet
- I am having trouble working red meat into my meals of an evening.  I'm scared I'll become deficient in iron soon
- Water is starting to actually taste delicious - I always thought people were full of crap when they said that
- On the topic of drinking liquid, I struggle to drink juice and soft drink now, they are FAR too sweet and make me feel sick
- Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice are my life savers
- I didn't exercise at all last week besides general housework and going shopping and running errands (which is light exercise, seriously).  I don't feel guilty about it at all.  HAHA!

How was your week?

Blogger Butt Update

Well I offically weighed in Wednesday morning.  Even though I have been doing WW over two weeks now, I didn't weigh in straight away.  So my offical Week 1 loss was 4.1kg.  Impressive I must say, but hell it was hard to achieve.  I have years of bad eating and bad habits to undo!  Here's some of the things I experienced and also some thoughts that whirled around in my head last week.

- "Hell I want chocolate"
- "Why do I want chocolate?  I don't even like it..."
- "I'm hungry and I only ate food 10 minutes ago"
- "I wish I never had to pee cause then I wouldn't have to drink so much water"
- Grocery shopping takes twice the amount of time and about half as much again in money.
- I was suprised how easily I passed up opportunities to eat junk.
- Whilst walking past the bakery at the shops and smelling that delicious fresh warm aroma, and comtemplating in my head how I could work a fresh roll into my points for the day, another voice in my head came from nowhere and yelled "I WILL NOT LET FOOD CONTROL ME" - which is now my motto.
- I actually did a little exercise.
- I haven't been bloated AT ALL - which is amazing.  Trust me.  I used to be bloated on a daily basis due to food allergies.
- The weight loss can't be seen physically, but mentally I know it happened so that's all that matters.
- I came up with a 5 point dinner meal!!!  And there was enough for two dinners.

How did your week go?  Just remember - I WILL NOT LET FOOD CONTROL ME... and you'll do great!

Remember to vote on my poll - top right hand corner.  I'm eager to hear your opinions.

AND

Don't forget about Softies for Smiles!  Will be posting about it soon.
