Custom orders I've been working on lately

It's no secret that I love a custom order, and I really do encourage my customers to come to me with ideas of how we can make the project as customised as possible to the receivers personality, tastes, hobbies etc. These sweet love birds card was created to be given to a newly wed couple on their wedding day.

Often when someone sends me a message asking for something for their mum, or sister, or friend, my response is always "What is his/her favourite colour? What is his/her hobbies? How does he/she spend their free time?" This way I can try to include as many elements of their personalities & tastes into the one project! For this JUMBO 80th birthday card my brief was: big, in the shape of the numbers 8 & 0, use black and blue and include a birthday greeting. What do you think, did I fulfill the brief?

Something that you need to not forget is that around these parts, we don't JUST make cards. What we can do for you is vast and varied. Lately I've not only had fun making up card designs, but I've also had some fun making bits and pieces for some events.

I actually find a lot of enjoyment in making pretty things for events. There is something about seeing lots of beautiful matching things lined up! The picture above I cannot take all the credit for though. All I did was hand stamp some plain white 12 x 12 cardstock with lots of coloured paint splotches (nothing like a bit of DIY DSP!) and send it off in the post to her. My clever customer cut the DSP up and made her own glass bottle cuffs! How cool is that?

Invitations are often the first hint to a guest of an upcoming event on what they can expect. It tells them a little bit about the colours you've specially chosen, the feel of the event, and a little bit of your personal style and personality. I loved making these invitations for an upcoming Bridal Shower. Not only did I make these so sweet invitations but there were also matching "something old, something new, something borrowed" advice cards.

And last but not least these bonbonneire tags are for a wedding in May. They will be tied onto a little bag of traditional sugar coated almonds for all the weddings guests.

So if you have an upcoming event and you need a little help in the paper department, I'd love to be able to be the one to help you out. If you'd like to see some of the party favour examples I am capable of making feel free to check out my Portfolio here.
