Ahhhhh, it's Saturday!!

What have you been up to on this fine and sunny Saturday?  I've been relaxing.  Pottering around the house doing odd jobs.  Taking pictures of my goodies out in the back yard.

I've also been having fun editing some photos on Picnik.  It's amazing how much you can improve a piccie with a few clicks.

Been updating the piccies of my goodies up for sale in my store, as well as adding more goodies.  Check it out!

So what have you been up to on this gorgeous day??

Thoughts on a giveaway.

Let's be honest.  We all love a giveaway.  We want something for nothing.  We want new delicious crafting goodies.  It's so easy.  You enter by saying "oh that (bla bla) is SOOO adorable I would absolutely love it.  thanks for the chance to win!"  And then every so often the random internet number picking man chooses you!

So I want to do a giveaway.  But of course with conditions.  Plus I need some input.

1.  What do you want to score win from me?
2.  I won't draw it until I have 100 followers.  I'm currently at 80.  I don't think it's unreasonable.  What do you think?
3.  It's going to be simple to enter.  You don't have to think of something wonderful to say.  All you'll have to say is "I want in".  I'd be quite happy for you to use that exact phrase actually.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

My brother's wedding day!

I've been having some fun on Picnik doing some basic photo editing.  Just mucking around with different fonts and settings and such!

Here is their special day in a few photos.

My sister starting on Mum's hair, while I put hot rollers in the bride's hair.  She then goes off and does her own makeup in the bathroom..

Freshly married!

Our original family plus the new SIL.  We somehow didn't manage to get a photo with my husby and my sister's husby in it too...

And then at the Reception..

Not any photos of me, cause these are the piccies from my camera and I was generally BEHIND the lens!  Professional pics will be out soon and if there's a good one of me I'll share :)

My creative space...

I've not been feeling well today so just pottered around a little and didn't push myself.  But I did manage to get a few things done.

Popped down to the Post Office to spend a small fortune send off my Auction goodies to their new owners..

Then I did some organising.  On Tuesday I was at Aldi and saw clear shoe storage boxes and it clicked with me, these would be PERFECT for storing my craft supplies in!!  I can see whats in the box, and still stack them on top of each other!!  I often forget what i have because it's tucked away in drawers.  So today I started transferring goodies from drawers to boxes!

I also discovered how many doiley's I have!  I love them and will be doing some creating with them very soon, so I'm glad I have plenty!

And I have plenty of lace too :)  Mostly thanks to my Nan.

Australia Day & Nanna's goodies.

Yesterday was Australia Day.  It was pretty unofficial and relaxing and I liked it.  I had a real nice sleep in and woke up feeling well rested which doesn't happen often.  Husby and I pottered around the house and did some laundry, then showered and headed over to the parents house where we had a swim and chatted and ate and laughed and all those nice fun things.  My nephew of course enjoyed a swim as he always does.  His dad was teaching him how to dive.  Schnookums huh!

I forgot to take the camera in the pool when we were all in there but oh well!
When we got out of the pool we were sitting around outside drip drying and my Nan showed up.  She was joining us for dinner and she had brought along some delights to show me and my sister (since we're both into sewing and crafting).  She bought one of her old sewing boxes FULL of goodies!!!  We divided the goods up between the two of us and I ended up with a tonne of lace, binding, ribbon, felt, some wool, and fabric!

And then she pulled out this box...

And she opened it and this was what was inside...

It's a vintage tableclothe/clothe napkin set!  I love it!!

Nan & Pop were given this set as an ENGAGEMENT PRESENT, 60 something years ago.  The card was still in the box!  Nan never used it because it was "too nice".  I was happy to snatch it up because I think it's gorgeous and I will DEFINITELY use it haha!!  Good old Nanna!!

It just needs a wash and an iron and it's ready to rumble.

Hope you enjoyed your Australia Day!

What's in your bag?

Kate from Foxs Lane started this a few days over ago on her blog.  Just took me a few days to get around to it I suppose!

So here it is.

Boring I know.  But in my defense I cleaned my bag out recently so really the only random thing that has crept its way back in is the food clip.  Everything else is normal and always in my bag.

Top row L-R:  Lip Gloss, Paw Paw, Lip Plumper, Nasonex, Numbing Gel, Wooden Mirror & Diary
2nd row L-R: Dental Floss, Handheld Fan, Bag Clip
3rd row L-R:  USB & USA Housejkey, Purse, 2 Glasses Cases
Bottom row L-R:  Tub of Gum, iPhone, Keys, Bobby Pins, 20c, Tissues

What are you doing today? Bidding?

What are you up to?  Catching up on some laundry?  Doing some baking?  Watching a midday movie?  Stuck at work?

I'm stuck at work!!  The first three things are what I wish I was doing :)

Just a quick post to remind you that the Flood Auctions close today.  Some close at 9pm tonight, and others at midnight.  Mine are still closing at midnight!  I figured that there are so many of you out there wanting to make final bids at the last minute and need all night to do it :)

Just a quick reminder of what is up for Auction.

I'd really love to see this Auction go off!  It's been a slow slog for me compared to some others :)  If you are able, it would be great if you could make some extra bids to show support for those who are suffering greatly in the flood affected areas.  I have been working out in the devastated area's and it is heart breaking.  Memories, livlihoods and proof of hard work have been destroyed.  They will greatly appreciate your generosity!

Flea Market Finds

Well this week I think was the most successful thrifting experience in my life thus far.  I just kept finding amazing things.  There's no real story to go along with these pictures.  So I'll just show you all the pictures and you can drool :)

Fabric
Vintage pillowcases
More pillowcases
Vintage kids clothes patterns
More patterns...
And more again.

Delicious wool

Someone cleared out their button collection..,
Check out the one in the top right corner... It's adorable.
A closeup.
Love these buttons!
Love these vintage random buttons!
Not sure how I'm going to use this gorgeous trim yet but I'm sure I'll find something!
Some amazingly talented granny out there threw out her collection of doiley's.  How cute are all these little ones!! That's not even all of them!!
Some of the big ones made by the same lady.
And I stocked up on some of the basic colours.

So as you can see I was rather successful.  Finding new homes for all these goodies was interesting.  I can't wait to start creating with it all!

Now don't forget my Auctions end tomorrow night at midnight.

Go here, here and here to check them out and make last minute bids!
